ENVIRONMENT

Climate change is a serious concern. This is easily the most pressing environmental issue facing not just Ohio, but all of us. Increasing temperatures and extreme weather are impacting our ecosystems, agriculture, and economy. It affects our water and air quality, rippling out to health and safety concerns for all Ohioans. We cannot afford for our public lands to be exploited or natural habitats to be lost.

As a State Representative, my plan to address these issues is going to be multi-pronged. I support an “all of the above” approach to energy. We cannot rely on only fossil fuels to support our energy needs. Ohio needs to invest in a greater array of energy as demand rises for electricity and infrastructure. Industry and economic growth cannot come at the expense of the environment. Finally, I will support measures that seek to protect our public lands from exploitation, especially from profit-first companies.
