Childcare costs are astronomical. For many families, ours included, childcare costs as much as or more than rent or a mortgage payment. This is unacceptable and a burden on Ohioans. 

Universal Pre-K

I support universal pre-k, which would help address the high cost of childcare, as well as kindergarten readiness. 

Paid Leave

Paid leave is an essential practice and should be promoted and protected. Whether it’s an aging or sick family member, a new child, etc., we should have social infrastructure that supports families and recognizes that a medical event can fall on anyone. We can’t leave people to independently fend for themselves. I support giving all families the tools they need to weather tougher times.
